Step 1:
Join the SAMAA (if not a member already)
- Complete SAMAA application form,
- Send payment,
- Get in touch with the SAMAA General Manager for your membership number,
Step 2:
Join JOMAC
Membership fees for JOMAC are as follows:
Joining fee R1000 (But note that the family joining fee is also R1000, so if a father and son join at the same time their joining fee is R1000 not R2000)
Annual subscriptions:
Regular membership
- Mar to Aug R800 (Full year membership)
- Sep to Feb R500 (Half year membership)
Junior membership (not yet turned 18)
- Mar to Aug R375 (Full year membership)
- Sep to Feb R250 (Half year membership)
Senior memnbership (65+)
- Mar to Aug R500 (Full year membership)
- Sep to Feb R300 (Half year membership)
You require existing club members to Propose and Second your application.
Send a digital photograph. Include you name in the body of the email message. Then complete the application form.
Complete the application form
Once you have been accepted as a member you may pick-up your membership card at the flying field. If you have any questions about the application form or the Club get in touch with one of the committee members.
By submitting an application form and photograph you agree to these conditions:
- The JOMAC Membership Committee will consider your application after it has received your form.
- This process will take at least one month.
- The Committee may decline to accept you without giving reasons.
- You must be a member of the SAMAA (South African Model Aircraft Association)
- You may be asked to take a flight test to assess your flying skill.
- The Committee may call for a report from your previous club.
- If your application is approved you agree to abide by Club Rules and Constitution.
- If your application is approved you will receive an invoice for your subscription. You should pay this invoice within ten days after which you will be a JOMAC member.
- Your membership will expire if you do not renew it before the cut-off date each year.
